This beginner knitting kit is a bit of a cheat ! It’s not really a scarf – more of a neck warmer – but this button collar is quick and easy to knit up and looks very classy. This is a very simple knitting kit that fits snugly around the neck and crosses over to fasten with some pretty vintage-style buttons.
Why not give the beginner knitting kit as a present to a creative friend and give them both the knitting skills and ultimately the button collar (you might reap the rewards in knitted presents in the future!)
Techniques used: garter stitch and making button-holes.
Each kit includes:
- 30grms – Aran Weight wool – Cream (100% Acrylic)
- 5mm Needles
- Blunt wide-eyed needle for finishing
- 4x buttons

NB. Because of the small parts included, this beginner knitting kit it is not suitable for little kids who might like to stick needles in their mouth/nose/ear etc. None of the kit items is edible. I’d say that kids from 8+ should be ok..
